Gerald had lived in Koreatown for over 25 years before the area was called Koreatown. He said back then, most of the people he remembered were Black or Mexican. He moved away to Bell Flower where he currently resides but said he plans to move back. He commutes to Koreatown during the week to work at a call center near St. Andrews Street. As a daily commuter, he said he wants to move back because the neighborhood is centrally located to many other places in Los Angeles
